NLX, was featured in Vanity Fair as part of it’s wrap up coverage from the SXSW music festival in Austin, TX.
The Vanity Fair article consists of a pen and ink illustration, by gifted artist Michael Arthur, and captured NLX “live”, accompanied by talented drummer Jason Lawrence, as they took to the stage of the Hideout Theatre during the Indie Sounds Day Party Showcase last week. This illustration as well as others featuring exceptional musicians like Ray Davies, The Watson Twins, Lou Barlow, Mishka, and She & Him can be found at: www.vanityfair.com.
Fresh in the midst of her 12 city tour including Cleveland, Chicago, Dallas, Little Rock and Nashville, NLX stopped off in Austin to take part in the SXSW festivities. “Every year this festival leaves me coming back for more. I can’t imagine being anywhere else, and I love the incredible people I meet along the way,” said NLX.
Raised in the icy shadows of Canada’s steel city smoke stacks, NLX hails from the proud tradition of BS-free northern songwriting women. Now living in NYC, she continues to carry the electronically edged dark pop torch with her debut album BITCH GET FIT ... 16 tracks of blow your mind and open your heart lyrical and musical smack.
